David Mullane

Financial Services Executive, Miami, FL

David Mullane has 25 years of experience in alternative investing and fundraising. During that time David and his teams have built and grown a variety of alternatives businesses. Within those businesses David’s focus has been on a combination of client acquisition, client management and investing. Most recently David was head of Balyasny Asset Management’s Client Relationship Group. Prior to that David spent 10 years at Goldman Sachs where he was a Managing Director and head of AIMS Client Portfolio Solutions. AIMS, which managed USD 180bn at the time of David’s departure, is the group within Goldman Sachs that provides its institutional and private clients with access to external alternative managers. David began his career at HSBC in 1996 where he worked in London, New York and Geneva. David is a CFA Charterholder and has a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Warwick.

Todd Edgar

CIO, Atreaus Family, New York

Todd Edgar has over 28 years experience in financial markets. He has spent the last 2 years as CIO of Atreaus Family, LLC, a family office, allocating capital to equities, rates, commodities, FX, Crypto and real estate.  Prior to that, he spent 9 years as Founder, CIO and CEO of Atreaus Capital, a global macro hedge fund with a peak AUM of over $3bn. He also served as a Managing Director of Barclays Capital Markets as the Global Head of Macro Proprietary trading. Mr. Edgar joined Barclays Capital in 2009 from JP Morgan where he was Managing Director and Global Head of the Commodities and FX Proprietary Trading group. Prior to that, he was a Portfolio Manager at Tudor Investment Corp, based in Greenwich, CT. He also worked at Morgan Stanley as Global Head of Metals Trading after starting his career at Bankers Trust trading metals and FX in 1993. Mr. Edgar graduated from the University of New South Wales, Sydney, with a Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Philosophy and Finance) in 1993. Prior to that, Mr. Edgar worked as an Auditor for Price Waterhouse. Mr. Edgar is married with three children and lives on Long Island, NY.

James Gereghty

Financial Services Executive, Austin, TX

Mr. Gereghty has more than 25 years of investing experience in private equity and capital markets across asset classes. He is currently an Advisor and Deal Partner with Vorsprung Industrieholding, a German sponsor of Mittelstand companies and a Founding Partner of Solaia Credit Partners, an investment management firm focused on customized capital solutions to small and medium sized US enterprises. Mr. Gereghty was Head of Distressed Investing and the Portfolio Manager for the Distressed Opportunities Funds, the Trade Finance Fund, and the Tactical Absolute Return Fund at Siguler Guff, where he also served on the Executive Committee and on the Investment Committees of the Distressed Real Estate and Secondaries funds. He was a founding member of the Distressed Group at Wachovia, was Head of Distressed and Special Situations Analytics at UBS, and a senior member of the research teams at Morgan Stanley and Bear Stearns. Mr. Gereghty earned his MBA with concentrations in Finance, Accounting and Decision Sciences from the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University, and his B.A. in Economics and Political Science from The University of Connecticut. He is a CFA Charterholder.

Darryl E. Getter

Financial Economics Specialist, Congressional Research Services, Washington DC

Specialist in Financial Economics at the Congressional Research Service of the Library of Congress. His topic areas include consumer credit markets, banking, fair lending regulation, and systemic risk. Dr. Getter is also an adjunct professor in the Economics Department at the University of Maryland--Baltimore County where he teaches classes in real estate economics and derivative securities. He has served as an assistant professor of economics at the U.S. Naval Academy, and later as a visiting economist at Freddie Mac working on consumer financial literacy issues. He later worked as a financial economist at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in the Office of Policy Development & Research and for the Federal Housing Administration program. He received his Ph.D. in economics from Washington University in St. Louis.

James Grossman

Retired CIO, PSERS, Harrisburg, PA

Jim has over 25 years of distinguished investment experience, primarily cultivated during his tenure at the Pennsylvania Public School Employees' Retirement System (PSERS), a $70 billion defined benefit public pension plan headquartered in Harrisburg, PA.  Throughout his career at PSERS, Jim held various influential roles, including 8 years as Chief Investment Officer, where he spearheaded the management of a highly diversified investment portfolio. Under his leadership, Jim oversaw an investment team comprised of over 60 professionals, driving strategic initiatives and delivering exceptional results, exceeding the Board’s investment hurdle rate over a 10-year period.  Jim's expertise and accomplishments have garnered widespread recognition within the institutional investment community. He was honored as a member of the Chief Investment Officer Power 100 Lists consecutively from 2018 to 2021 which spotlights industry leaders and their achievements. Additionally, he was distinguished as one of Trusted Insight's Top 30 Public Pension Chief Investment Officers in 2019.  Notably, PSERS, under Jim's stewardship as CIO, received several prestigious accolades, including the 2016 and 2019 CIO Industry Innovation Awards and the 2019 Private Debt Investor, Investor of the Year: Americas Award.  Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Elizabethtown College and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) Charterholder, along with being a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Erik Mayo

Managing Partner & Founder of Terra Incognita Capital – San Francisco, CA.

Erik has 20 years of investment management experience at Lazard, Stanford Management Company, Fintan Partners and Terra Incognita Capital. In his various roles, Erik has acted as both a primary investor, originating and structuring private debt transactions and as a fund investor in the United States, Latin America, Asia, and Eastern Europe, in strategies including private debt (distressed debt, structured credit, growth capital financing, receivables factoring, fintech lending), hedge funds and private equity. Erik earned a B.S. in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Darren Rough

Financial Services Executive, Greater Boston Area 

Darren is a financial services executive with 20 years of experience across family office, asset management, corporate development, and investment banking, in both North America and Europe.  From 2013 to 2018, he was the President of Generation Capital, a privately owned wealth management company focused on a single family.  He was previously the head of corporate development at Mariner Investment Group, a fixed income alternative asset manager; and before that, an Associate in the investment banking division of Goldman Sachs, residing in London and New York.  Darren earned his BA in political science from the University of Western Ontario (UWO), his JD from the University of Saskatchewan, and his MBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business at UWO.

Mark Shaw

Financial Services Executive, London, UK

Mark is a portfolio manager with over 20 years of investment experience, working in London and New York. Mark was a founding partner at Agilis, a global multi-strategy investment fund. Previously, he was a Portfolio Manager at Permal, a $20bn multi-manager alternative investment firm, and a Senior Analyst at Fauchier Partners, a fund of hedge funds that managed $8bn for institutions, and before this an Associate at Morgan Stanley. Mark earned his MA in Economics and Management from the University of St. Andrews and his Masters in Finance from London Business School.
